College students around are wondering what majors are the best for them to major and graduate in at the end of their college experience.  Colleges have been taking the time out to develop majors for students to create jobs that will last for more than eight to ten years.  These college majors allow for students to look further into majors that will allow them to remain in the same industry or similar industries in the near future.

Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical Engineering focuses on creating and improving overall engineering science and technology. Biomedical engineers work to create medicines, vaccines and signals to the body warning of cancer.  They also create and improve medical devices, prosthetics, design robots for surgery procedures, drugs, medications and vaccines. 

Computer Game Design

Computer Game Design continues to one of the fastest growing fields within the technology industry. This industry is expected to grow $82.4 billion globally by the year 2015. Becker College and Worcester Polytechnic Institute are among the most popular educational institution to attend.

Health Informatics/Information Management

This major has a focus on acquiring, manage, and use the information obtained to improve overall health and manage health payments.  The profession brings together of informational technology and clinicians. There are 54 accredited baccalaureate programs within the Health Informatics/Information Management field.  Loma Linda University, University of Washington, Temple University, Weber State University, and University of Illinois-Chicago.  There is a big need for over 50,000 workers within the next five to seven years.  Students will take biomedical courses in anatomy, medical terminology, physiology, basic computer courses, management information systems, design and systems analysis.
